SKILLS CANADA NWT NATIONAL TEAM FULL OF WINNERS*

Eighteen talented youth represented the Northwest Territories at the 14^th Canadian Skills Competition in Calgary, Alberta, May 25-28. Three of these competitors returned home with medals in hand:

Peter Boggis, Workplace Safety (secondary level): GOLD

Chris Aitken & Ian MacDougall, TV/Video Production (secondary level): SILVER

Tyler Heal, Graphic Design (secondary level): BRONZE

While other members of the team did not receive medals, they were all winners. Team NWT competitors worked hard, did their best, and were excellent ambassadors on behalf of the Northwest Territories. Skills Canada NWT is very pleased with the success of the national team and we congratulate all of the competitors for their accomplishments and we wish them every success in the future.

Skills Canada thanks all the people, companies, and organizations who made this trip possible. We look forward to returning to Calgary in September 2009 when Canada hosts the 2009 World Skills International competition.
