A Regional Skills Competition for the Beaufort Delta is held annually in Inuvik and is open to Beaufort Delta Education Council students. The Beaufort Delta Regional Skills Competition is a qualifying event for secondary students wishing to advance to the Territorial Skills Competition.

Regional Skills Competitions are expected to increase awareness of skilled trades and technology careers in the host region and also to increase regional participation at the Territorial Skills Competition in Yellowknife. Skills Canada NWT hopes to add more regional competitions throughout the NWT.
