PARTICIPATE from home!

As a part of our brand new #SkillsAtHome initiative, we are proud to announce the #SkillsAtHome Challenge Series!

This series of basic skills challenges will promote the exploration and development of skills to youth of all ages in the NWT. The goal of this program is to challenge students to complete a simple skills related task, submit their work online, and have a chance to win some cool prizes. Each challenge is designed to be accessible to students of all ages and skill levels, and to be a fun and engaging way for them to develop their skills while at home during the pandemic.

How it works

Beginning on Monday, May 4th, we will be sharing online challenges for participants to complete from home. Each challenge will be accompanied by a “Challenge Description Document”, containing the details about the challenge, as well as the submission deadline for the project!

To submit your project, please scroll to the bottom of this page and complete the submission form. The winner of each challenge will be announced and shared on our website and via social media. Prizes will be awarded based on the challenge criteria provided.

Participants may use hand or machine sewing techniques but should incorporate at least one new skill they learned for this project.
