Are you interested in competing at this years Territorial Competition?

If you are a skilled high-school student, a registered apprentice, or a post-secondary student pursuing an education/career in one of these skill areas, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE.


All contest documents are provided below. Included are all contest descriptions as well as test projects to help competitors prepare for the competition. These documents are very important for all competitors to read and understand before attending the Territorial Competition.

To register as a competitor or as a participant in the non-competitive stream at the Skills Canada NWT Territorial Competition, click the Register Now link provided under the specific trade or technology category that you are interested in.

Participants/competitors may register themselves or they may be registered by a parent/guardian or by an educator. If you are completing this form on behalf of a participant/competitor, please include your personal information below. The following attendee registration page will request details about the individual participant/competitor. You may register multiple participants/competitors.

Career Expo &
Try-A-Trade® Exhibition

In conjunction with the Skills Canada NWT Territorial Competition, we will also be hosting a Career Expo and Try-A-Trade®/ Technology event that will be incorporated into the Territorial Competition, offering visitors a more in-depth look at careers and educational opportunities related to skilled trades and technology. It also serves to inform visitors about trades and technology in general.

Exhibitor Booth Styles 

Try-A-Trade® Booth: We are encouraging organizations to offer a Try-A-Trade® booth at this year’s event. These booths will offer an interactive project or demonstration visitors can participate in to gain a more in depth understanding of careers in various Trades and Technology fields. Exhibitors who offer a Try-A-Trade® exhibit will have their registration fee waived.

Career Expo Booth: These booths offer information and resources about your organizations via conversation, pamphlets, booklets, posters and images, etc.

Career Expo Booth and Try-A-Trade® Booth: If your organization would like to offer a combination of both of these booths, please select this option.
