Diverse Career Paths: Skilled trades and technology fields range from hands-on, practical roles to high-tech, innovative careers. Youth can discover opportunities in fields such as welding, information technology, electrical work, coding, and more.
High Earning Potential: Trades and technology careers offer competitive salaries and stable job prospects, with demand growing in both urban centers and remote communities.

Our mission at Skills Canada NWT is to make trades and technology careers accessible, appealing, and achievable for all youth in the Northwest Territories. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to explore, train, and succeed in skilled trades or tech fields without feeling like a career in these areas is a “second choice.”
We do this by:
